Scuba Refresher Course If you are looking to gain your confidence back to get into scuba diving again, I would highly recommend going to Barrie Scuba House. In the past, both my husband and I took the Open Water Certification through Tim. It had been a number of years since we took to the water but with our upcoming trip to the Great Barrier Reef, we decided a refresher was needed. We were introduced to Kelly. She was very knowledgeable, patient and an all around great teacher. My husband and I left feeling refreshed and ready to head to Australia’s GBR with confidence. We can’t thank you enough, Kelly.
It disappoints me to write this, but after 4 attempts to book a course with them, not a single person has returned my call. I’ve tried for over a month and no one will respond or assist me. Unfortunately, I won’t be using their services or purchasing equipment from them in the future if they can’t provide basic customer service.
I just got back from a week long dive trip in Bonaire completing my recreational wreck and deep dive courses. I had the good fortune of having Dave from Barrie Scuba House be my instructor while in Bonaire. I can’t say enough about how awesome of an instructor he is and how much I was able to learn within the short period of time. I was able to get a lot time in the water one one one with Dave and I now feel incredible more confident in my skills as a diver in general, not just for the courses I took. Dave really was able to help fine tune my bouncy as well as my gas management over the week. I highly recommend going to Barrie Scuba House for anything diving. Not only are the staff there super friendly and knowledgeable but you also have access to a world class dive instructor (Dave) how has a tremendous amount of expedience in diving and in teaching! Dave is the only guy that I want to train under as I continue to expand my dive skills!

I have been training with Barrie Scuba House for a number of weeks and nothing but good things to say about my experience. Very professional and thorough approach to imparting their knowledge and skills. Great value for money spent. I just completed more training with Dave Davison of Barrie Scuba House. Dave took me through the ropes of Tec 65 and Tec Rec, using multiple deco tanks and various gas blends appropriate for each depth of deco stop. He sets the bar high so I had to work hard to reach his standards, and I would not have wanted it any other way. 100 meters, woohooo! Thanks, Dave
I was super nervous about diving at all so tried the discover scuba course first and was hooked! Have issues with anxiety and confidence but Dave was a fantastic instructor who handled my fears and anxiety so well it gave me the confidence I needed to master the skills necessary!! Have my certification now thanks to his great patience, skills and knowledge. Great experience and highly recommend especially if you’re nervous or need some extra confidence and patience.
Had the opportunity to take the PADI Tec 65 trimix course from Dave at BSH along with a few others. Great experience all around! Really nice retail space that is actually being expanded, easy scheduling, professional instruction and great value. Highly recommend for entry level through technical and professional education!
